It all started because...
...there seemed to be this gap. You know...the gap between your understanding of something and what you actually do. Maybe it's between your in-depth understanding of golf and your actual swing. Or maybe it's the gap between your knowledge of business or marketing and the lower responsibilities of your role.
After six years of internet marketing experience, what followed was a year-and-a-half of living with that gap. I decided to fill it in, combining powerful philosophy and sociology with internet marketing.
From Fortune 500s to Small Businesses, the Problem was the Same...
Over and over and over, I saw haphazard marketing campaigns with combinations of incomplete tactics described as strategies. To be fair, I even helped design some of these services over the six years that I worked as Vice President and Director of Search Marketing for two very highly profitable and large search engine marketing agencies.
Search engine marketing had become boring, drab, and a commodity.
Closing the Gap.
For over 18 months, while consulting since the Fall of 2006, I devoured new information.
I absorbed hundreds of hours of lectures and presentations, almost 100 different books, and countless blogs and research papers on topics on linguistics, psychology, philosophy, sociology, complex business concepts and processes and everything in between.
Once everything was distilled a change began to happen with how I observed business distinctions, market segments and their behaviors...and how incomplete internet marketing had become.
Discovering what is, to create what can be.
What quickly became apparent was that a gap existed between what was possible with internet marketing, and the work that was actually being done.
